Swapit.finance — update
As discussed on the AMA, swapit.finance is close to release, and couple of final testing modules are remaining to be completed, after which swapit.finance v1 will go live with the Basket protocol. This basket protocol will be on the Ethereum Blockchain, and users can trade in Token baskets through the swapit.finance integration with Metamask. The creation of the Baskets however will still occur on the Swapit desktop app. Only through the desktop app the baskets can be created since enabling creation over the web would be a long winded process with multiple Metamask popups. However, creating them on the desktop app makes it much simpler since we have the technology to bundle up transactions into a single popup on the desktop app.
Features that will be coming out in the current swapit release:
- The basket protocol on ETH testnet, and after some testing is complete, the same on the mainnet.
Features that will be coming out in the future swapit release:
- The DEX on the testnet on ETH.
- Trade aggregator across Kyber, Bancor, 0x protocols.
- Staking on Tezos through integration of the Thanos wallet on Tezos.
- Release of the Swapit desktop app.
With regards to our roadmap, the upcoming roadmap includes:
- Release of Swapit on the web.
- Release of the Swapit desktop app.
- Upgrade the UI for Swapit and it’s products.
As for the SWPT token swap with WAND Token holders, we are finalizing the ERC20 token contract for SWPT, with the same token distribution as WAND, however, and additional 25% of the tokens earmarked for marketing. We would have a separate page where the WAND tokens can be deposited, and SWPT will be given to token holders.
The releases have taken time since there was, and still is, regulatory uncertainty with crypto in India. We are also in talks with a new platform where they would like to do a token swap with all Swapit holders for them to bootstrap their community and integrate our basket protocol for their users. This is still under discussion, and we’ll get a decision by the mid of March.
